Since we moved into our new house last weekend (we love it!), things have been a bit hectic around here. Between work, meetings and unpacking what seems like an endless supply of boxes, I am finally getting back on track. But since my schedule was so busy, I had to readapt my beauty routine a little to spend less time getting ready and more time getting things done. So Here are the products that made the cut.
Things usually start with a shower and since I don’t really have time to apply a body lotion afterwards, I’ve been trying out this new Ultra doux body lotion that is designed to be used in the shower. The process? Use your body wash as usual, rinse, apply the lotion, rinse and tadaa, your skin is moisturised and ready for the day. Now, I’ve tried a couple of these products before and although I love the Nivea one, this one is the best I’ve tried so far. This product is packed with argan & camelia oils to leave the skin plumped, smooth and moisturised for the whole day. This is the perfect pick if you’re a bit lazy or if you’re in a rush! Then, I cleanse my face using the Clarins pure melt cleansing gel. This stuff is good! I’ve been using it since last December and it has become one of my staples. I love its super melting consistency that glides onto the the skin while dissolving all makeup and getting rid of impurities. I use it day & night to cleanse & remove my makeup and my skin never looked this good. I then follow up with a bit of Philosophy hope in a jar as this moisturiser is a good all rounder. It keeps my skin nice & soft and applying makeup on top of it is never an issue.
Then comes the makeup, and this is where things got really streamed down. I start by applying my trust worthy Dior Diorskin nude BB cream that covers all my imperfections and dark circles all while looking natural and radiant. I then define my brows using Benefit gimme brow, a 2in1 product that acts as a color and a gel. For the eyes, I simply reach for the Bobbi Brown perfectly defined gel eyeliner in scotch and add two coats of mascara. To add a pop of color to my face and keeps my lips nice & hydrated, a bit of Josie Maran argan love your lips hydrating lipstick do the trick. I currently use the shade playful pink which warms up my complexion without being too bright. Finally, the last step in this quick beauty routine is my perfume. Right now, I am loving Estée Lauder modern muse le rouge. This beautiful blend of roses, cais & magnolia feels like the perfect scent to transition into fall.
