As I told you in this post, my brows and I have a tumultuous relationship. Sometimes I love them and sometimes we just don’t get along. Ever since I started getting my eyebrows waxed frequently at the Benefit brow bar in Inno Louise, I’ve been happier with them than never. But when my brow expert suggested a brow tint, I wasn’t sure I was ready for it yet…
Finally, when I arrived at my appointment last Tuesday, I decided it was time to try it. The lovely lady who works there is just a babe and really know her thing, so I completely trusted her and got my brows tinted. I didn’t really know what to expect but she took the time to explain the whole thing to me. Since I never dyed my hair, we made a quick allergy test and I answered a couple of questions to make sure that the whole thing was safe for me. The product doesn’t contain any ammonia, which means that you don’t get bad roots after a while. The color simply fades away within 3 to 5 weeks and the result should look very natural. The application process is totally pain free and very quick and it didn’t feel too harsh on my sensitive skin. After the tint, she checked if the result was ok with me (I loved it), before moving on to my usual brow wax. I left the beauty department with a huge smile on my face and even my mum, who was with me, was impressed with it, and trust me, that says a lot!
It’s been a couple of days now and I still love it. The result is natural but makes a huge difference. I wake up with perfect brows every morning and I don’t have to spend 5 minutes trying to make them look similar anymore. Even my fiancé likes the result and he’s usually against any kind of strong brow look! My skin felt a bit dry the day after the tint, so I applied bit of Josie Maran argan oil on my brows and all the dryness was gone overnight. My skin didn’t react to the tinting product at all and I am so happy with the result that I can see myself doing it over and over again.
Now, this is not something that I would do year round, since it would get pricey really quickly (15€ for the tint or 31€ for the tint & the waxing), but I think this would be the perfect beauty treatment before a holiday. If you have sensitive or very dry skin, make sure to do a skin test first and apply a bit of oil afterwards to help your skin recover. And if you’re blonde like me, don’t worry, they have a wide range of colors and I am sure that they have the right one for you!
Have you ever tried eyebrow tinting? If not, is it something that you’d consider? Let me know in the comments!
I’m glad you liked… I love getting it done as well it makes them seem so much nicer then normal 🙂
I’m really curious about the Benefit Brow bar. I have really light (as in you can barely see them) eyebrows and would love to get them tinted. Only I’m really afraid that it won’t “match” me. I like the way yours are done! Perhaps I should make an appointement…. Does your “brow stylist” works there all the time?
Honestly, I am so happy with my brows since I go to the Benefit brow bar regularly. My usual brow stylist works at the Inno Louise all days EXCEPT on Mondays! She’s a babe and totally knows her stuff, trust me!
If you end up going, tell her I sent you, she’ll be so happy!
xx
I wanted to book an appointement yesterday but Benefit Brow Bar at Inno Louise is fully booked for the next couple of weeks. I’m heading over to the Antwerp Benefit Brow Bar on the 11th of july. Hopefully they will be as good as your stylist! 🙂
I am sure that it will be as good as in Brussels 🙂 Let me know how you get on with it!
Hey Axelle, I went to the Benefit Browbar in Antwerp last Saturday. I can only say one thing; Why haven’t I done this before? I love my eyebrows, such a huge difference !
Totally what I thought the first time I went! I can’t believe it took me this long! So glad you enjoyed it!
