Party essentials

With a handful of Christmas parties planned this week, I thought it was about time to share my party essentials with you. From glowy bases to glamourous highlight, I am sharing all my best kept secrets with you!

Everything starts of with a great base. And whenever I am going out, I always reach for the Burberry fresh glow fluid base. This primer has tiny illuminating particles in it which will make you instantly glowy rather than shiny. Furthermore, it will create the perfect canvas for your concealer & foundation and will even boost their lasting power as well… Next, I move on to concealer, and in the dead of winter, I like to reach for the Maybelline age rewind in the brightening shade. While this hides dark circles pretty well, it’s also a fabulous product to lighten up your under eye area. I tend to concentrate it on my dark circles but I blend it a little bit down my cheeks and up to my brow bone as well for a very sculpting effect. Then, I move on to foundation and the only one that I wear when going out is the Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation. This guarantees a flawless finish while still maintaining that beautiful glowy effect.

Then, I move onto contouring and strobing, two very fancy words for such an easy step in my routine. I start by using the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder underneath my cheekbones, on my temples and down the sides of my nose as well. Then, I reach for the Becca shimmering skin perfector in champagne pop and tap a little bit on top of my cheekbones to add a bit more dimension to the face. I then go over everything with a clean & fluffy powder brush to blend everything together. I finish with a neutral blush like Mac well dressed to give a bit more color to my face.

For the eyes, I’ve been loving my Charlotte Tilbury ‘the vintage vamp’ palette. I’ve used it in this tutorial and it’s been my go to palette whenever I am going out. For mascara, I’ve been using the volume million lashes feline mascara* from l’Oréal which is very long lasting and adds a ton of length and definition to my lashes.

I finish off with a generous amount of the Dior addict lipstick in the shade Be Dior* and I always make sure to pop my Bobbi Brown face touch up palette in my bag for quick touch ups on the go!

These are some really pretty eyeshadow palettes, I’ll have to look further into them 😉 Also great choice when it comes to the mascara and concealer, they are my favourites 😀

They are great indeed! The mascara is a recent discovery for me but the concealer has been one of my favourites for years now, glad to hear that you like it as well!
