Demak’up cotton science

Today I have an interesting beauty review for you!
Some weeks ago, I was sent a really nice package of products by Demak’Up.
If you are not familiar with Demak’Up, they are basically the brand that invented the cotton pad, way back in 1978. Ever since, the brand has been famous for their amazing cotton pads and recently launched a few other products.

First of all, I was really impressed that all the products I received were paraben free. I am really conscious about what I put on my skin, so paraben is kind of the devil for me. So it was a really good surprise to spot a little paraben free sign on the bottles!

Cleansing milk


As you know, I have dry and sensitive skin, so winter is always challenging for my skin. Therefore, I like to use a cleansing milk to remove my makeup before going to bed. I applied a pea sized amount of the Demak’Up cleansing milk on a cotton pad (I used the Demak’Up Duo+ pads) and removed my make up in circular motion. The result is fantastic, all my makeup was gone and my skin was feeling fresh and clean,love!
The smell is really fresh and light.

Micellar lotion


Recently, I’ve been trying new eye makeup looks and I played around a lot with eyeliner. It looked pretty but it was a nightmare to take off! I finally decided to use a good amount of the lotion on a cotton pad (I used the Demak’Up sensitive pads to do so) and let it sit on my eye for a good 10 seconds. Then, I simply wiped it off and everything was gone! A true miracle! I didn’t hurt my eyes at all and it didn’t leave any greasy residue, so once again, love!

Foaming gel cleanser


As I told you in my skin care routine post, I had a lot of trouble finding the perfect foaming cleanser for me. It never felt right. So, I was curious to use this one…
I used it for a week and my skin looked good. But after a while, my skin felt really dry and tight. I assume this is because the product isn’t formulated for a specific skin type and was a little too drying for my skin… So I am back to my l’Occitane cleanser for now 🙂

Duo+ and sensitive cotton pads


To me, it is really important to use the right tool for the right product. So I was excited to try these two different cotton pads! I used the Duo+ to remove my face makeup. I apply a tiny bit of product on it and used it in circular motion. The textured surface help to remove my makeup and help to clean my face.
I used the sensitive ones for my eyes and I loved it! The soft texture of it allows you to remove your eye makeup really easily without rubbing your eyes.








Overall, I was really impressed with the quality. With a price tag as low as 5€, these products really stand out! I will definitely repurchase both the cleansing milk and the lotion as these two worked so well on me!
